Russian invasion of Ukraine

So many of these stories in occupied areas seem to state that Russians were looking for people with Ukrainian tattoos.
Is that what marks out a Ukrainian citizen as a Nazi is in Russian eyes?
The Ivans are Scum. Total scum.

I assume you're referring to British Army transgressions? I don't think I suggested we were "lily white". I said quite clearly " I accept there has been the odd occasion where a soldier of the British Army has behaved in this manner, there is a big difference between the odd occurrence and the systematic brutalisation of the civilians in the besieged Ukrainian cities."
Nailed it.

Considering Putin's insistence that it isn't a war surely every act by the Russians is a crime and every death is murder?
The Russian ambassador at the UN meeting yesterday said that such acts normally happen during war. He actually used the term war. Will Putin will send him to the gulag for this?

Obviously these aren’t credible pictures….

….are they marv, you silly goose.

Is the soil really that radioactive you ask?

From what we have seen coming from Bucha the last few days and the shear lack of respect for human life. It is extremely fortunate the Russian army are not in control of Chernobyl as they could have caused untold damage and loss of life to millions of people.

It is not a "moment of shame" for City.
It has nothing to do with us and our owners do not see geopolitical events through the prism of football. In fact, UAE has been extremely active in the search for peace in the M.E.; see the Abraham Accords and opening up of dialogue with Syria. Nor have they been "deadly silent" on criticising Russia. They abstained on the first vote which condemned Russia but voted with the West on subsequent votes calling on Russia to cease its aggression. They have commented on why they abstained, as they felt outright condemnation would be counter productive.
These matters are not simple and we should not see football as impinging on policy or look merely through our own eyes. For historical reasons you would expect the West to condemn Russia but UAE and others are not western in outlook.
I disagree, the Middle Eastern countries have a lot of power over Russia and they certainly have the means to increase the pressure to stop the war. They have chosen not to take any action and the Middle East has become a haven for rich Russians who are fleeing the impact of western sanctions. I'd imagine that Dubai is awash with Russians who are avoiding the harsh impact of sanctions in Moscow.

The whole point of sanctions is to hurt the people that matter but all that is happening is the rich folk are likely leaving Russia to move to places like the UAE where they can live in total comfort until this all blows over.

It does have nothing to do with football but our owner is the deputy prime minister of the UAE and a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family.... Right now he's sat on his arse doing nothing whilst the club he owns is putting up flags for Ukraine, it's ridiculous.

I’m guessing it jumps from 120 to 680+ because he points it at the metal sign?

I don’t think the ground/air would become that much more radioactive with just a few steps.

I imagine the Russians would have used any scrap metal or materials they found to help dog the trenches/make shelter which would explain the acute radiation poisoning which IIRC shouldn’t be possible just from digging.

Whatever the mechanism was for these Russian soldiers to absorb enough radiation to make them seriously ill, it's poetic justice for the cunts.

UAE/our owner just don't see it as their fight or in their interests to be involved. They are as ambivalent about Russia/Ukraine as we are about any number of genocidal campaigns/regional wars around the world that we have no strategic interest in.
