Russian invasion of Ukraine

Widely reported:
The EU has paid €35 billion for Russian energy since the start of the war compared to the €1 billion it has sent to Ukraine in the form of foreign aid, Josep Borrell, the EU's top diplomat, has said.

So about 1Bn euros a day.

But the 35 million wasn't spent directly on Russian war effort right?

Ukraine is recieving 1 billion extra

Once it’s in the system I hen it may well have been.

If you give me a tenner and I spend £8 that day on a bottle of cheap Cab Sav, it doesn’t matter if I used that exact ten pound note or not, I can rationalise the fact you bought me the bottle.

My point was that @St.Pauli support 's figures appear correct (all EU, not just Germany), and that the original post wasn't. I didn't consider the use of the money.

Herr Merkel made Germany reliant on Russia for energy and fuel.

Now politicians are dressing up this disaster by pushing for "green initiatives" using climate change as an excuse to move away from her balls up.

Germany has sent circa £30bn to Russia since the invasion of Ukraine.

MH-17 was likely shot down by a BUK missile system. It's target was pretty big and slow so not really that difficult to track and engage.

Their latest kit is next level stuff.

That’s some impressive stats. Does say Ukrainian airforce hadn’t upgraded their Su-27’s since built in 1980s so 150km probably won’t be workable range modern fighters.

I like the fact you classify a cheap bottle of Cab Sav at eight quid.
