Russian invasion of Ukraine

I see Turkey may block Nato membership for Finland and Sweden.
Though there purchase of Russisn anti-aircraft kit nearly got them kicked out last year.

Can’t see why people are questioning Finland and Sweden joining NATO ?

it means Russia will be totally surrounded by NATO nations, it means Russia can’t just steam roll into another country like Ukraine without even more severe repercussions and it also makes Putin look like a right bellend.
Sweden has a large Kurdish population. Turkey have complained for a long time about Kurds in Sweden funding and supporting the PPK. I don't know how true it is.
Ergodan is using NATO to put pressure on Sweden regarding the Kurds.

Russia is stopping Ukrainian grain exports by blockading Ukrainian ports, yet the west is still buying Russian oil and gas
Why isn't the west sending their own cargo vessels to Ukraine to collect the grain?
If the Russians attack an unarmed civilian ship then surely the Russian war ship becomes a target for the West
In fact I'd tell the Russians that every cargo ship is being shadowed by a drone and if they attempt to stop the cargo ship, the drone's weapons will be deployed

Can't see Russia joining any time soon ;-)
In academic circles, one long-term suggestion is that the carrot of joining NATO could be dangled to Moscow, but only to a fully democratic Russia. Bizarre as that may sound to people who grew up in the Cold War, it may become an increasingly attractive proposition to younger Russians. Not entirely sure those in Beijing would be as welcoming of such an idea…
