Probably we invest more in technology?Can anyone out there explain why we have always had a small standing army?, even now with almost identical budgets France has far bigger numbers.
Or the incompetence of the ones at the top in wasting money that could be spent better on troops than many schemes that cost millions that never come to fruition.

I hate these bunch of clowns we've got in now but it would've been even worse if Corbyn got in.They are ALL an absolute disgrace but i think more than anyone it was Cameron's mob who were the most destructive.
I shudder at the thought of him as PM under this particular crisis.

Its def tech. we invest a lot in new tech, we infact partnered up with the US on developing the F35.

Does Belarus have a defence pact with Russia? If not, it could open the way to external ( wont say Nato at this point ) intervention.
