Russian invasion of Ukraine

Maybe.....when Ukraine hit the oil depot in Bryansk, they used the Bayraktar, that's why I looked at that one.
It is similar to the one in the video.

Looked like it was a suicide drone, I guess they could have just used a Bayraktar in that manor but it seems a little wasteful.

Reports of devastating Russian losses in Donatesk. Russian proxy forces reported to press gang locals into their force which is ill equipped and poorly trained.
Is it possible that the exact opposite of Russia‘s goals will be achieved here?

Hence the old Rudyard Kipling poem -
"Tommy "
Which is why British soldiers became known as Tommies in the 20th century.
Kipling didn’t write that until the 1890’s. The Iron Duke suggested the name Tommies in 1815.

Edit. I see it’s already been thoroughly discussed. As you were…

A better point about our fucked up defence policy is taking 15 years to build an aircraft carrier and then having no planes to put on it. iirc it was 8 billion pounds to build.
...and no capability for launching the future of aircraft - drones - with a catapult.
...and having not much air defence ( becuase we have hardly any ships and the Type 45's built for the purpose of carrier defense have multiple issues (engine issues, not much armament, not enough of them). The loss of the Moskva shows what a single missile can do to a capital ship. Launch a few (what, a couple of £million) and take out a ship that's taken that long to build and cost x8000 more.
...and swallowed up a considerable amount of an already stretched defense budget (Ajax fiasco being another).

I have long thought that it wasn't about building an aircraft carrier, it was about keeping jobs in impoverished areas.
But what do i know !!

I've worked on several EU funded culture projects - takes two years and a week long conference in a Swedish university to get a logo signed off (true story) so the process of admitting a war-torn Eastern European nation will take a lot longer than three months..!

A week in a Swedish university eh? You poor sausage. We thank you for your service

And the pricks responsible for this catalogue of errors are not held accountable.
