Russian invasion of Ukraine

Putin was insisting in energy payments in rubles which will contribute to the artificial strengthening I suppose.
The amount that Russia is importing from the west has significantly reduced because of sanctions. At the same time the export of their natural resources have gone up in value. This is called the balance of payments and the reason why the ruble has strengthened to a seven year high.
The only way this can be considered artificial is that the ruble strength does not take into account the promise from the European Countries that they will not import Russian gas by the end of the year. What remains to be seen is whether Russia can sell this elsewhere

Looks like a Bayraktar......Turkish.
I may be wrong though.

I think that's probably the case. They definitely have those Turkish drones and presumably they were confident there was no air defence in the area considering they sent it in, in the middle of a cloudless day.

Unless things have changed I thought the only American drones being used in Ukraine offensively was the suicide style Switchblade drones.

The American drones (Reaper I think they're called) that they want to sell Ukraine with the hellfire missiles are still in the negotiations stages. I think Ukraine are worried they won't be much good against the now, well set Russian air defences and the US are worried that the Russians will get their hands on the technology in those drones if they get shot down.

There were talks about American ones couple of weeks ago which can reach 300 km and carry some heavy bombs. I think that’s the one.
Maybe.....when Ukraine hit the oil depot in Bryansk, they used the Bayraktar, that's why I looked at that one.
It is similar to the one in the video.
