Russian invasion of Ukraine

Putin is crazy enough to engineer/false flag a nuclear disaster to turn western Ukraine into a wasteland whilst blaming Ukraine.
That would end his special operation and his goals about Ukraine for many years and turn western parts of Russia into chaos.

His policy is to threaten and blackmail to unsettle the west.
Letting it happen will only strengthen the west and lose Putin's neutral allies.

It also has the potential to expose millions in Western Russia and Europe, depending where the plume goes. Is he really that mad?

Read that Russia have agreed to let the IAEA(?) into the nuclear plant to inspect it, hopefully no whitewashing what they have done, a la Amnesty International.

Also, this is interesting:

There's really no potential for a major disaster like Chernobyl.

Even Fukushima is way beyond any credible scenario.

Putin and Russia have been idly threatening all sorts since this started. Ignore them. They rely on fear because they are losing.

There's a good thread on this here:

Russia did exactly this for a few days before they invaded. Test runs to ping air defence locations.

I think the attacks in Crimea are the biggest blow to any claim Putin may have that his "special operation" is going to plan.
I really hope that the Ukrainians can take the Kerch bridge out as a huge symbol that he will never be able to spin or cover up.
