If its the one i'm thinking about,he lives in Lutsk,Volyn Oblast....he messaged me a few times,but not heard from him for a while...hope alls well.

The Daily Kos has been a go to source to me for months. In large part due to the absolutely pathetic coverage from the BBC. They may have a separate "news" section but it is as well manned as a Russian trench in Izyum. Today's coverage includes a map from August!
For an institution that is under pressure, they need to wake up and realise the goodwill they had from WWII has been wasted and their output (both TV and news) is boring, repetitive, ""celebrity"" centric and nothing like Lord Reith intended.
