M55 is old stuff, but those 28 203mm howitzers (17 km range) might have some use for Ukraine hopefully:

These tanks have been massively re-engineered and refitted with latest tech, and up-armoured hugely.

They are better than most of the Russian tanks.

-----> Get captured by Ukraine -----> Go to jail

NO -----> Refuse to fight
-----> Execution OR

In JAIL
-----> Execution OR
-----> Fight for Russia

Or ‘decision tree’ which may be a more apt title as, if you are a conscript you may as well hang yourself from it and save all the bother of the extensive one weeks basic combat training.

Full mobilisation is coming in Russia, but with what will they equip their troops? Muskets?
I have to say I'm looking forward to Ukraine capturing a refurbished T-54 tank in the near future.

If this is correct then you're right about full mobilisation using the rigged referendum as the pretext

I have been watching the video reports now coming back from the front line. Despite poor conditions the Ukrainian fighters are in good heart, displaying awareness and knowledge along with their self deprecating humour. Russians will never beat this lot.
