Russian invasion of Ukraine

A tactic they used during the second world war . Strangly , exactly what the polish foreman on our site said to me on Friday .
Correct, they set up "penal battalions" and sent political prisoners/Jews out with no weapons against MG42. And cunts in this country wave Soviet flags.

The Russian defensive line in the northern parts of the Kherson region completely collapsed tonight. Ukraine is breaking through along the line of contact. Arkhanhelske is liberated & Ukrainian forces are attacking Dudchany. Russian forces plead for air support on social media.

Slava Ukraini.

I was thinking that.
Maybe, just maybe, they are short of vital parts due to sanctions (and corruption). So many are not operational etc.

Or is it they need fighter escorts or are vulnerable to surface to air missiles?

I assume to use bombers you would need air superiority. Otherwise they'd be cannon fodder to the Ukrainian air defence systems.

I can’t help feeling he has put all his conscripts / prisoners etc etc on the front lines when there defeated and Ukraine are tired after months of fighting he will have his top soldiers in wait

Yeah and I’m sure Hitlers best soldiers will be arriving any minute now to turn the tide in WW2.

Putin has used all his best forces. There is no one else coming except conscripts with 2 days to 2 weeks training.

From reading this thread:
They have committed 80% of their entire front-line ‘elite’ soldiers already - the Chinese border is looking especially weak.
They are seriously down on ‘top of the range’ equipment - T-62 or earlier tanks, isn’t a great look, using surface-to-air missiles against land targets ditto. And the state of the basic equipment being handed out, or not , to the mobilised cannon fodder…
The black sea fleet has retreated into the Sea of Azov, and can’t be bolstered by the Northern or Pacific, as Turkey has closed the Bosporus to military traffic.
Their airforce is running out of pilots and planes wanting to commit Hari-kiri, despite being an overwhelming numerical advantage - personal thought: no bombers used by Russia yet?

Basically, they appear to be screwed other than going for the numerical cannon fodder overwhelming defences tactic… but when those ‘numbers’ are drunk, disinterested, demotivated, and have no equipment… it’s not looking good for them

They’ve used loads of bombers? We saw loads of Tu-160 and Tu-94 sightings early in the war launching cruise missiles.

People are hyper-critical of all reporting, Channels don’t have an unlimited budget and can’t be everywhere at once, unlike Twitter where reporters can pop up absolutely anywhere.

Twitter reporters are like Agent Smith from the Matrix.

No news channel can be as live as someone living in the event, whatever it is.
Nice to see that the BBC takes note of Bluemoon and has begun to lose its pessimistic attitude. Tonight's coverage was much better although they seemed to be focusing on Bakhmut, the one place where Russia is making anything close to an advance however glacial.
Perhaps it allowed them to minimise their reporting on United's distress.

I’ve no idea why you quoted me?

100% Where are all these mysterious elite troops? The ones that dropped into Hostomel day 1 didn't manage against a less than prepared Ukraine. I heard someone say an 'elite' russian unit is pretty much a standard nato one. And the rest are well, we've seen.
