Russian invasion of Ukraine

They would flood themselves.
Ah, now all the trenches make sense.

Their cunning plan is to blow the dam but to hide out in the trenches. That way when a millions of litres of water come rushing by, it will obviously just wash over the top of them and they'll be safe with their Russian logic.

Ukraine War Review - Day 260 https://m.dailykos.com/stories/2022...General-Patton-James-Dean-or-even-a-loose-end

Today's is an absolute gem of information on the Kherson front. Including:
- The withdrawal has only started to happen. The way some western media sources are framing it it has already happened. All that has happened is the forward defensive lines have been pierced in a manner that makes the whole bridgehead untenable.
- Ukraine expects a lot of fighting to occur until the West (Right) bank of the Dinipro is liberated.
- The ISW daily update with supporting Tweets (as usual).
- A lengthy piece by Mick Ryan on the politics, and military impact of Withdrawl. (Always a good read).
- A lengthy piece on the ferry systems that Russia has set up to get across the Dinipro without bridges.
- Why Belarus has not properly joined the party.
- The death (or is that murder?) of Mr Krill Stremousov. Traitor and Russian administrator of Kherson.

Incidently, I don't see how Krill Krill Stremousov's driver survived that accident unless he parked up and "went to the loo", just as an articulated lorry came by and "accidently" hit the vehicle shearing the top half of the vehicle off its axles.
A message to anyone deciding to be a Russian stioge or a political player in Russia. You are only kept while you are useful. Disposal operations take place when you no longer are.

This effigy was committed to the flames of a bonfire in Lewes on the 5th.

Apologies if it has already been posted.

Could be wrong here,it's just opinion, regards Kherson.
Think we will see an artillery/aviation duel for a while now, once all the Orcs are on the East side.
Russia have set up a 2nd line of defence on the East side, and,IMO,it would be madness for the Ukrainians to try and cross the Dnipro.
Depending where they try and cross......you obviously have the Dnipro, and between 1-3 other rivers, then you get 1-3km of open ground.
The Orcs have the concrete boxes,as well as trenches etc, lined up from the outskirts of Hola Prystan all the way up to Novo Kakhovka.
Not sure what is before Prystan and beyond Kakhovka?
Can't see Ukraine going in on foot,it would be a shooting range for the Russians.
Think HIMARS and Excalibur need to do a bit of overtime.

Slava Ukraini.

In other news I see the West hating Amnesty International has FINALLY decided to criticise Russia for the deportation of Ukrainians from captured areas.
Fuck me, where have the fuckers been for the last 8 months. Oh yes criticising Ukraine for defending itself.
Fucking arse wipes. No time for them at all.

Isn’t the best future idea a push south from West of Donetsk to the sea, cutting the last railway link to the western Russian positions.
Making the position of the Russians on the east bank of the dnieper untenable - no supplies, cut off, except through the narrow isthmus of Crimea?
Ie just hold a defensive line on the dnieper, as there’s no chance Russia can launch an offensive back across the river. And it means all the effort, materials and men used by the Russians to build their multiple defensive lines just to the east of the dnieper are rendered useless.

Going directly over the river to the other side would be risky for the Ukrainian forces. They would be rained on with artillery whilst having to supply over a river. I wonder if they will push from higher up in the country where they can cross the Dnipro in easier ways. I wonder where they will be in the spring and where to now? Do they push on Crimea or go for the Donbas?
