Thing is, there is so much propaganda, counter-propaganda, attempts to manipulate and influence opinion, you need a healthy scepticism about it all.

If the Russian government are prepared to (comically) repeatedly characterise a Jewish man (Zelensky) as a Nazi, why is it beyond the bounds of reason that an Embassy official would endorse a caricature of him with a hook nose? Especially when the former has been so pitifully swallowed by large swathes of the Russian population, who have to be the most gullible on earth.
