Russian invasion of Ukraine

All this could of course be a sign of how much trouble putin thinks he might be in.
It’s partly a sign of that, but it’s also a sign of other things too.

If someone had disrespected me like that, I wouldn’t be engaging with them at all. I’d be getting on with what I needed to do without any interaction with them. They can fuck off as far as I’m concerned.

Now I have a big ego, but it’s absolutely nothing compared to Trump.

What possible reason would there be for him allowing his planet-sized ego to be bruised like that?

This refrain will be playing on repeat. Unbelievable cunts are still falling for it.

It’s a dance. Anyone who can’t see this is beyond help.

There will be no deal. And there will be no meaningful punishment of Russia.
Just wait until the 60 days are over!!

Maybe Zelensky should cancel the visit. I feel that Putin will be back playing his games and that retarded orange headed wanker will be lapping it up..

I wonder if the threat of Ukraine potentially having access to Tomahawks is bringing the nonce in the Kremlin to the table. If they have a system like that to go after Russia’s oil refineries even more destructive than they have done previously, Russia as a country will be fucked. The military will grind to a stop in Ukraine first of all, then we have the civilian population back home up in arms when they can’t drive their cars or use oil for heating when the winter kicks in.

There must be something going on in the background in Russia with their economy on the brink for Trump to change direction from where the situation was carving Ukraine up between the US and Russia for mineral production a few months back to now potentially giving them a system that could enable Ukraine to inflict damage deep inside Russia more efficiently and devastatingly than they have done before.

Trump is transactional, if he can get a bigger piece of the pie on minerals by Ukraine giving Russia a bloody nose with cruise missiles. It probably means there is less he has to give to Putin and more for him to keep for himself.

It seems more likely that the Tomahawk muttering has provoked the call, which has provoked a possible meeting in Hungary, which in turn will have the effect of putting the Tomahawk decision off by a few weeks. The call was purely to put it off.

I don't see any way that they could talk for 2 1/2 hours and come to any meaningful conclusion - it would be much shorter if there was any intention for an ultimatum. Maybe arranging a meeting by phone is difficult, although allowing Trump an hour to post on social media would slow things down.

All trump has to say to.putin is, stop firing cruise missiles and drones at civilians and civilian infrastructure or i give Ukraine 20 tomahawks to hit your refineries

My thoughts are that yes, the threat of Tomahawks has worried Putin and now he will soften Trump up by agreeing to a ceasefire. The caveat being Putin retains the land he already has.

I can see Trump swallowing this and pressure Zelensky today to accept, saying it’s a fair deal.

If this is correct, I’m hoping Zelensky tells him to Foxtrot Oscar.

Just amazed anyone thinks Trump will ever send Tomahawks. Putin certainly won't, but understands the need for theatre, hence the meeting.

Look at what Trump does, not what he says. He goes as far as he possibly can to support Russia, consistently.

Trump is already back peddling on the Tomahawks, stating that the US may need them. Presumably for Venezuela, Greenland, Canada etc
