By taking them in you reduce the level of fighting ability Russia has. Every fighting age person to leave is one they cannot field.

So while it maybe hard to stomach the idea of taking people who are only leaving to save there own skin, its still a reduction to Russia.

the biggest issue would be letting people in who are not fleeing but are conspirators trying to get into other countries to cause trouble.

Edit: There is the flip side, if by blocking the rich from leaving, you force the rich families to take a stand which may or may not help.

I’m with him. We should turn that country and its populace into a pariah state and banish them from everything. Only then will they eventually realise their leader and his cronies are scum. What we definitely shouldn’t be doing is allowing them out of their shithole to go and compete in the Olympics and other sports.

I had a good laugh at Novax Dad doing a disappearance act after his rabble rousing with the Ruskies. It would be great if a Cossack has given him a few slaps but I’m sure that very wishful thinking.

If this lofty ambition to capture all of Ukraine is correct then I do wonder how the russian strategy will differ from last Feb when they had at their disposal significantly more military hardware, their best fighting batallians and an element of surprise they could leverage on (assumption being someone high up actually had a military plan).

Are they hoping that the Ukrainians will just run out of bullets, missiles and artillery munitions to fire at the new inexperienced Mobiks?

Russia never tells the truth and Boris lies when it suits.
The fact that Boris is now irrelevant politically, yet Russia has gone overboard on this leads to the first option being the most likely probability.
