Ukrainian Armed Forces are on the verge of a breakthrough, - Zaluzhnyi. Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi told US officials that Ukrainian forces are on the verge of a breakthrough, commenting on criticism of the "slow pace" of the counteroffensive, the WSJ reports, citing an unnamed US official.According to the unnamed US official, during one of the conversations with the Americans, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi replied: "You don't understand the nature of this conflict.""This is not a fight against rebels. This is Kursk," the commander added, referring to the main battle of World War II between Germany and the USSR.
