ROBOTYNE FRONT UPDATES
The Ukrainian forces have started an operation North of Bahkmut pushing down the road to Soledar. At present it’s hard to see if this is a serious effort or a distraction tactic.
The big news is that Russians are struggling to hold off Ukraine’s advances south of Robotyne, and there is a lot of talk that they have already reached the next village of Novoprokopivka, and have entered the top of the this larger village. Russian sources say its already been taken, but there’s no confirmation.
If so this is a BIG deal. Can’t emphasise this enough. Other intel suggests that Ukraine’s advances westward to Kopane and Eastward to Verbove have also been met with success. Both sides are reporting Russian forces surrendering in increasing numbers, an issue even Russian bloggers are almost sympathetic over, based on their poor treatment by commanders and lack of supply.
Further up the frontline going East there seems to have been some success at the Novoprokohovka (sounds similar but not!), and and there could well be an entire salient moving south between there and Kopane.
The Russians are crapping themselves on Telegram and seem to think doom is riding in on their forces. Let’s hope so!
I’ve said many times that there’s a real feeling that the Russians were close to breaking point and it just needs one big shove to get it over the line. So much work has gone on to weaken their C2, EW, artillery, Ammo and logistics, this has to be the point it pays off.
There’s a lot of suggestion that the next defence line is in fact nowhere near as strong or well defended as was imagined, but let’s not get carried away.
Now if you think we might be jumping ahead how about this piece of intel: the FSB and administrative management are said to be evacuating Tokmak. This has been verified from katsap sources in the town and other pro-Ukrainian sources have said the FSB is already on its way out the door. How do you think this makes the local defenders and supporters feel when they know the symbols of Russian authority are leaving? This mentality spreads like Covid at a rock concert.
On top that the command centres in Tokmak were hit with missiles this morning.
Russians are saying between 50-100 units of mechanised forces are coming at them and they believe as many as 5 battalions are on the move with supporting infantry.
The Russians believe this is it. The Ukrainians are coming.
Add to that the Russians were forced into action on the Dnieper Islands and the 205th Infantry are trapped with Russian command refusing to allow them to be rescued.
By all accounts they’re being annihilated.
Slava Ukraini !
