Russian invasion of Ukraine

This guy is getting rightly frustrated at NATO and the UN
I mean the NATO part is just blindingly obvious - as with the rockets that killed civilians in Poland and may or may not have been Ukrainian, their main task is to avoid getting involved at any cost - let’s be honest, Russian could be halfway to Warsaw and NATO would send a strongly written letter rather than invoking chapter 6.

They do need constant support Putin is relying on the death of Western aid. He knows the money men in NATO Countries will be circulating propaganda as a way to end support for Ukraine.
There is a great deal on social media influencing decisions against providing help to Ukraine I’m sure there is sadly losses on both sides.
The main point of note is the change of message - we have been constantly told that the slow pace of advance was to save lives and equipment, but now it’s being admitted that lives and equipment are being haemorrhaged, and still Ukraine havent broken though the first lines of defence.

As said repeatedly this summer, the biggest risk is the ability to keep delivering large packages of support - Slovakia who were one of the first big supporters of Ukraine look likely to re-elect a Putin puppet at the end of this month, Poland and Netherlands have elections later this year with Croatia, Finland, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Romani, Slovakia, the EU itself and of course America having elections next year which is going to of course make it harder to secure regular support packages of the level in 2022 & 2023.

Ukraine have broken through though… but taking a well dug in defence is bound to take a long time and a lot of equipment.

I don’t have a clue what is happening on the battle front but not fulfilling our commitment to Ukraine is unacceptable.
The change of message on Sky news with ex military types giving there opinions on how the war is going beggars belief.

By the 2x above high profile Ukrainian accounts that post updates from the front lines, one of whom states that until now they’ve been trying not to discuss losses to avoid giving Russia morale boosts, the other saying discussing the scale of losses will be very unpopular and that they desperately need ongoing support.

Now they could be making it up for ‘reasons’ of course, but yeah…..

BBC quoting a western source as saying the crew of 4 survived. That article says the tank remained structurally intact
Yeah saw that - highly likely lost a track the crew then bailed and it got hit by artilary. Although it doesn't have ammo sidepods like the Leopard2 and Abrams, the ammo is stored in containers in the turrent which makes it difficult to destroy.

Tanks can be replaced, replacing a crew is much harder and they’ll have learned from this experience.

Article 5.
And no Slovakia won't elect a Russian Puppet. It will result in a coalition government where most parties are pro Ukrainian.
You really are a Putin supporting shill aren't you?

Couple of the big Ukrainian accounts posted similar last night - losses are huge and they will desperately need ‘western’ support to keep regularly coming.

They all seem to be coming from the 1 “sniper” account. Maybe accurate but it does all seem to be from the 1 place.

That being said I have no doubt losses are significant and support is needed more now than ever
