Russian offensive held then counter attacked with devastating results.
..though reading the details… US is not one of the signers of the convention, and so can do whatever they want… but I’d say maybe they’d be a bit stupid just to steam through…Not sure how that will work with the Bosporus straits international agreement

Well the US isn't at war with anyone and Turkey decides who can sail through.Not sure how that will work with the Bosporus straits international agreement

Do they expect Ukraine to just start killing their own civilians?
When Russia was on the offensive,Ukrainian Forces evacuated any villages etc,before they came under attack.
Now Ukraine is on the offensive the Russians won't let any civilians leave any villages....They know,that unlike the Russians,Ukraine will not just randomly fire unguided or cluster munitions into villages full of civilians.
Tokmak,for instance,if there was no civilians,it would of been re-taken weeks ago.
Some 30 odd thousand civilians being held there against their will.
The Russians will not let them leave.
A human shield,if you like.
This is why i posted the other day that the closer Ukraine gets to some villages,it will slow down.
That's a dig at bits of that article by the way,not you mate.
