This is why I asked the question.
I was assuming they haven't left anyone off the list, so where are France, Spain and Italy?

Hope so, as some of those figures are extremely poor.Total bilateral aid to Ukraine by donor & type 2024 | Statista
How much has each country given to Ukraine? The U.S. provided the highest bilateral aid to Ukraine as of June 2024, at over 67 billion euros.www.statista.com
Take into consideration that this is only stuff that is in the public domain, its been reported that Italy for example sent a lot off the books.
Hope that wasn't aimed at me, as I stated that I knew they remembered the war and all its implications. Can people please fuck off with the criticism of French war remembrance.
It's cliched, tedious and ignorant.
I've just come back from France. I visited a village like the ones in Ukraine, utterly destroyed in the war, and rebuilt from the ground up since the 60s (La Laupie, since you ask). I had dinner in a restaurant on the street by a plaque remembering the mayor and others in the village who were rounded up and sent to Mauthausen to die. I stayed in a B&B which was used to house Jewish children, some of whom still visit to this day.
All without any deliberate effort to make it part of the holiday.
Despite all of this, the French made peace with their former occupiers and joined a union with them within a decade, and remain close allies to this day. It should be an inspiration for hope for Ukraine, not a reason for nationalist chest thumping.

My question was, despite everything they went through and suffered, why have they donated so little?
Maybe I should have been more specific.View attachment 94089Ukraine Support Tracker - A Database of Military, Financial and Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine
The Ukraine Support Tracker lists and quantifies military, financial and humanitarian aid promised by governments to Ukraine.www.ifw-kiel.de

Military help is what I meant. Not much point in promising rebuild money if we don't help the Ukrainians win.

It's not their attitude as in France though is it. You were talking about individuals actions, I 'm sure I've read of individuals in this country damaging war memorials too. There are mindless / uneducated/ disrespectul people in all countries. It's not there "rememberence" of the 2 wars its their attitude to Britain I criticised
