Russian invasion of Ukraine

I mean occasional posts of realism are as important as the 5000 other pages of overly positive posts that ignore that the war will go on another winter, Russia hasnt run out of men or ammunition and currently - albeit hopefully short term - the US have ceased all support.

There are regularly posts criticising the speed at which Ukraine is getting equipment, so a post noting that it’s likely going to get much slower is pretty relevant, despite the overall desire to insist that the backs of the Russians has been broken and it’s only a matter of weeks left, rather than the reality that the Ukrainians have ‘only’ advanced about 1/3rd of the way to Crimea this summer and have the deepest defences still to break through.

We are all aware of the momentous task in front of Ukraine and they have made remarkable progress but dwelling on the negatives are not going to help anyone least of all those fighting in Ukraine or the families, I’m sure most posters know what happens when a country is invaded. It will take as long as it takes to throw Russians out

Do the Ukrainians now make sure a bomb goes off in Moscow killing a large number of civilians as revenge or show restraint.

It’s becoming’trendy’ for a growing number of the media scum to begin questioning whether the support for Ukraine is on the wane.
They have no concept of history or how it repeats itself.
This is exactly the type of western decadence that Putin is relying upon, and anticipating. It’s insane that some people don’t realise what’s at stake here.

The Ukrainian military won’t hit the public intentionally, it would be a sure fire way to build issues with the west.

That being said, partisan’s / the public might take it upon themselves at some point.
