Russian invasion of Ukraine

KHERSON SECOND BRIDGEHEAD

Ukraine does seem to have secured a first bridgehead at Plishnikiva and Puomi. Heavy fighting has been conducted and the Russians despite strong attempts to counter it, the Ukrainians kept the area and increased its size.
Then they opened a second bridgehead at Krynky. This seems to have caught Russia off guard completely and they relied on air strikes to keep the attack under control but failed - heavy cloud cover stopped the aircraft having any effect and ground forces were wholly inadequate to stop the Ukrainians.
With control over around 20km of the river banks on the south side and now two bridgeheads which they seem more than capable of maintaining- even Russian sources have noticed it - what happens next? Is this a major distracting attack to pull resources from Tokmak and Andrivka? Or is it the start of a major offensive into the occupied Kherson Oblast that will stretch the Russians sorely?
The coming days are critical to both Russia and Ukraine now.
If Russia doesn’t send reinforcements and this is a big move into the oblast occupied by them - they’re screwed.
Even if they do send support it’s going to be at the expense of operations elsewhere and they may not be able to move quickly enough.
ATACMS now and later HIMARS, if the Ukrainians advance, could help tip the balance against Russian continued air strikes from Crimea.
Interesting days lay ahead, another great day for Ukraine!
