Russian invasion of Ukraine

America is going slowly insane and Europe cannot rely up on it any more. For anything.

Europe needs to decide what is important. Foregoing current living standards to preserve freedom and our way of life, or placating a regime which has proved time and time again, it cannot be trusted. There is no point negotiating with people who will never keep their word.

Europe needs to decide what is important to its future security and prosperity.

That means taking a strategic sensible long term view in other conflicts, not just Ukraine.

Not sure that’s necessary. Ukraine is an active, territorial and existential battle for the soul of Europe.

What other conflict sits on all fours with that?

Conflicts likely to inspire new generations of terrorists where Europe plays a helping hand against the murderous regimes responsible for the attrocities that radicalise them.

Europe managed to cope with ignoring the conflict in Ukraine for eight years, if Russia manages to break off the bits of the Ukrainian East it isn't going to be a great triumph when their military infrastructure is crumbling. Without a complete overhaul they won't be carrying out any invasions.

It will be along time before they can threaten Poland and the longer Putin stays in power, the chance that he leaves a huge gaping irreparable power vacuum once he dies, is overthrown etc becomes more certain.

Not worthy of the 6th floor it would seem.
Vladimir Egorov a member of Putin's United Russia Party, apparently suffered "cardiac issues",before falling to his death from the 3rd floor window.

Slava Ukraini

How unlucky can you get? Having a cardiac arrest right next to a window which was open...... in Russia ..... in winter .......

Only a matter of time before the reality of realpolitik kicked in. I've always been up for a strong unitary state solution.
