The
French Ministry of Defense reported on the pace of arms production and plans to provide military aid to
Ukraine.The Minister of Defense of the country, Sebastian Lecornu, told about it.
This year, the French defense industry should produce 600 modified AASM aviation bombs. Next, this number will be doubled to 1,200 aerial bombs.
By the end of March, the government must hand over 100 bombs as part of military aid to Ukraine. Our Air Force actively uses them on the front line, integrating them on MiG-29 fighters.
Lekornyu also reported on the discussion of the integration of AASM aerial bombs on F-16 fighters, the first of which should appear in service with the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces already this year.
This year, the French MBDA unit is to release 40 SCALP cruise missiles, the production of which has been stopped for a long time. These missiles are used by the Ukrainian Air Force to attack the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
France will also release about 100,000 155-mm artillery shells this year.
Of these, 80,000 will be provided to Ukraine as part of military aid.
Within the "artillery coalition" program, France, Denmark and Ukraine financed the production of 78 Caesar self-propelled howitzers at the facilities of the Nexter company. All of them should be produced by the end of the year.
