From August .11th in the Kursk region, Ukrainian and free russian forces are encircling Putin regime forces near Sudzha and may be building a grand envelopment of the enemy's army south-west of Rylsk, to Titkine, warfare at its finest.

I wonder if Putin had his time again, and knew then what he knows now, would he still have invaded Ukraine? I doubt he thought he'd still be battling there nearly two and a half years on. As they discovered in Afghanistan, going in was easy. Getting out was much harder.

Apart from strategic reasons for Ukraine to invade Russia it is a smart move because it must be a lot easier to attack where there are no minefields or defenses.

It will be interesting to see if the Russians are prepared to use the same tactics to try to take back towns inside Russia as they do in Ukraine, where they simply flatten the place with indiscriminate artillery fire and glide bombs.

Hopefully they won’t get chance and will be in the run for a while, but can they get away with destroying their own towns? How will that play with their population?
