I did actually know he used to collect Nazi memorabilia. I remember he was accused of throwing out a Nazi salute after his fight with Albert Sosnowski back in 2010 too.

Pretty damning really.

I feel sorry for the innocent people of Ukraine but that is a country with Neo Nazi's right in middle of its politics. They've gone back on so many agreements with Russia since the US basically had a hand in essentially replacing the old Ukrainian government with people they'd prefer in charge in 2014.

Not that I agree with the invasion, but if Russia essentially starting controlling the politics of Mexico to the point of interfering to put in a government they can control and started edging closer and closer in power to the US border , the US would do what Russia have done.

A lot of people here have clearly bought into the western medias narrative of Russia and the whole situation. It's complex and not all one sided, there's blame on both sides. It's just sad innocent folk get caught in the middle, as usual.

Not sure a famous person posing for a photo with people is the evidence you think it is. He would have done thousands of photos exactly like this without knowing the people he’s with.

A small proportion of right wing thugs exist in this country - does that make this country fascist or indeed Nazi? No. Give your head a wobble for goodness sake.

I’m over 50 years old and watching this stuff all my life. Oh, and it’s part of my job to research and analyse this stuff, not by way of BBC verify, and it’s like.

He's the mayor of Kiev...stood on stage with people he knows as they do Nazi salutes..

Do you think he just stands on stage with people involved in politics with no idea who they are? You're not that dense surely.

I bet you don't even know the guy throwing out the nazi salute. I'll help you, it's Arseniy Yatsenyuk, former prime minister. The other man on stage is Oleg Tiagnybok, leader of the national-fascist Svoboda party. And people still wanna claim nazis are not in Ukrainian politics. They're in plain sight.

Ukrainian politics, especially on a local and regional level if rife with Neo nazi's and the Mayor of Kiev isn't too far away from it.

I'm first generation British, my family came from the Soviet Union. I'm well aware of what goes on in Ukraine.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a supporter of a Russian invasion, it's just too many of you on here have bought into the Hollywood storyline of Russia being the baddies and the west being the goodies. There's a lot of blame on both sides. Ukraine have broken agreements with Russia in recent history, pretty much at the demand of the US. Now imagine Russia basically started controlling Mexican politics, having a hand in replacing their government and expanded their power closer and closer to the US. You reckon the US would act peacefully towards Mexico with that threat on their doorstep?
