Russian invasion of Ukraine

Is this why? Genuinely? Presumed it was just a power thing, to make him look untouchable/aloof.
It’s absolutely a power thing to warn the West not to cross the line he’s put out (ie don’t join the war physically).

Guy from the UN on BBC News just then said there’s no physical movement in Russias nuclear warheads, it’s just Putin putting it out on state TV to posture.

The Kremlin have just said Putin’s focussing on the economy this week.

He will only fire a nuke if he ends up like Hitler in his bunker or Mussolini when he was being closed in on. The West will never invade Russia and therefore it’ll never happen.

Nobody will get him to the Hague, he has threatened people with nukes a few cluster bombs wont even make him flinch.
No, but he's not the one doing the firing. Someone ordered that weapon to be used, and someone fired it. War crimes trials aren't only for the people at the top.

The fact that Putin has even sent people to try and negotiate probably indicates that after 4 days things are not going at all well. If they were he wouldn't bother turning up.
This is my thoughts on it too, He has taken a far bigger battering than he thought he would else he wouldn't be there. the fact that Belarus has joined in and he's using Chechen's also says a hell of a lot.

the level of arms arriving in Ukraine must be scaring them too, From an armoury point of view I think Ukraine genuinely has the edge here.

Question, In terms of anti air defences. are there any that could be donated/sold to Ukraine, positioned really close to say the polish border ( or somewhere "safe" ) and protect Kiev?
