We rely on China even more than Russia in Europe, I cannot see the same sanctions involved for Taiwan and sadly I think it’s so far removed from us that less of the public will care.The key to this now is China for me. They have influence and I’m sure they would be very happy to be seen as the good guys. Sounds like they have held a call with the Ukraine tonight. I hope they can find some kind of solution to this without much more bloodshed.
I can’t see them risking Taiwan after this economic backlash either.
The US have purposely kept fairly quiet I think so as not to up the ante. Hopefully there will be lots of behind the scenes diplomatic talks going on.Ive said I think China is the key all through it and I hope US diplomats are focussing a lot of energy on them.
