There are, but most are just conscripts that have been to uni/college, that's how their military work, if you've done uni/college you are conscripted to "officer", however you are no less cannon fodder.

Ukraine’s Air Force on Tuesday said it currently has no effective defense against the types of ballistic missile that Iran is preparing to ship to Russia to use in its war against Ukraine.

Yuriy Ihnat, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Air Force Command, said the range of the Iranian ballistic missiles being supplied, with “one having a range of 300km the other 700km,”

Earlier on Tuesday, CNN reported that Iran is preparing to send about 1,000 additional weapons, including surface-to-surface short range ballistic missiles and more attack drones for Russia to use against Ukraine.

Yeah you're right, I guess I meant 'actual' officers, as much as there are any in the russian army.

It seems (like most of their military) to be a ridiculous state, "officers" with little military training (though I believe they do get some rudimentary training at college/uni).

Russian troops fired 24 missiles at Ukrainian positions in Kherson Region overnight.
3 fell in the Dnipro and the other 21 were shot down.
Overnight also,The Russians lost 24 APVs...16 Tanks...1 SU-25 Aircraft and another Helicopter...23 Drones...800 Troops.
