It's always worth paying attention to Duncan castles stories with regards to city. He has good sources but doesnt get everything right on mcfc.
I'd trust TH more and of course his comments make total sense given the uncertainties and pressures of a title run in. I wondered if city had leaked some preliminary contact as a subtle piece of pressure on man utd, a kind of 'we aren't going away' message.
Or more likely is this a leak from rvp camp as part of his contract negotiations?

I don´t think that you should sign Van Persie. The biggest problem that i saw in the team during this year is the midfield:
-in many games the opposite team plays with 2 players behind Silva, "bloodhounds" as we say in spanish.
-Yaya, Barry are very consistent players, strong and able to play many minutes during the season but Silva needs to breath some games, needs someone with skill to assist to the strikers.
-In my opinion ( i only see sometimes the premier league) Nasri is not in the top level. I am not talking about the defence since to be a top team the most important is a balanced attack.I would sell him to try something else, Ribery, Di Maria, Navas ,Muller or Robben. Robben should be easy.
-Dzeko is a great striker, i don´t understand many critics here...He needs someone to put the ball in his head, that´s all.

In summary, an elite team have to score points constantly and be very regular needs a stylish midfielder and resources to feed the strikers. Xavi / Iniesta / fabregas, Xabi Alonso / Ozil / Di Maria and Yaya / Barry / Silva, to be honest it's easy to know what city player to bite and disturb during the game
My list would be an organizing midfielder who can be able to pass and take responsibility when Silva can not. Sweinsteiger, Snejder, Pastore, Hazard, Modric ...about forwards ... I would trust Dzeko if I had a good band player, some "extremo", but if not Llorente would be my choice. Van Persie is to hold the ball, and for you have already Agüero

I wouldn't go for him,unless he was on a bosman,his age and injury record don't bode well,apart from clichy,i don't think any of our arsenal buys have made a significant impression on our team,they possibly lack that winning mentality from going years without winning a trophy,or maybe its because they lack a winning mentality that they went years without a trophy,we need hungry up and coming players or proven winners.

I really don't understand the Dzeko hate on Bluemoon. No different to the Ade hate though. You would have thought a couple of people would have learned to be a bit more humble after they've been shown up by it.

Well since the start of the season we have rarely been a good side when he has started due to his lack of ability to bring other people into the game his touch of a rapist and his very poor heading ability
Again at the start of the season he was a finely tuned machine now he isn't. I dont know why but he seems to have lost 80% of his ability since October

Many people were saying that our priority should be a pacey winger who can cross the ball and to be honest i wasn't very keen on that but after seeing the Swansea game i know now how important it is to have a winger.We should buy a winger who instead of coming inside(like johnson for some reason) should stay on the wide areas and whip crosses in.You cant always rely on playmakers to split the defence.In swansea we had no width we were trying to play through balls and there defence coped with it well.

yanks like him because he's one of the few reporters/interviewers that doesn't just ask the guests run-of-the-mill questions and actually challenges them and asks tough questions. Very refreshing in journalism over here. Still a cnut, though.
