I disagree with that.

RVP is a top player indeed, i just feel the way they set up makes him look much more impressive.

His stats shows he runs a lot but it is ineffective when without the ball or running onto it infront of goal, when Sergio runs he is hassling a defender or getting the ball.
I don't see this much from rvp, he seems an out and out finisher where as Kun does that and a lot more imo.

Technically, RVP is the best striker in the world. He could score goals from anywhere on the pitch, which Kun couldn't do. Sure, Sergio is quicker and probably stronger than van Persie, but RVP also has a height advantage over Sergio. There's definitely some truth to what you say about how Arsenal are set up and how it helps RVP. I think he'd be much more effective at Arsenal than at us. But I feel that RVP is a more complete player at this time. Aguero can still improve the side of the game which RVP is better than him at (passing ability) and be the better overall player, but at the moment it's Robin who's better.

Are you sure?

Twelve months ago there would be no doubt that 100% of us would use said Kun is by far the better pkayer, and he's 6 years younger. van Persie had a good season last season and all of a sudden everyone thinks he's this magic player. The truth is for 90% of his career he's been just about above average to good (at top level standards). At 23 vP was nothing. At 23 Kun scored 30 goals in England.

End thread.

Wait till we don't sign him, which we wont.,
City will be in crisis, the Sheikh is not interested any more. We will be facing any number of ludicrous headlines.
If RVP goes to United he will have chose them over us, United over money. Blah blah.

Is it me or have Arsenal only confirmed bids from United and Juve? I have not ready anywhere that we have bid. Or anywhere where the words 'reported' or 'supposed' have not been used to describe our bid.

Mancini and the club have reiterated time & time again that Dzeko & Tevez are not leaving and obviously Mario and Aguero will be going nowhere.

The media are desperate to report our interest in RVP. We can't win. If we do sign him (I believe there is no chance) we will be ruining the competitiveness of the Prem, if we don't sign him (which I hope we don't) we have lost out to United, they are still the force they always were and he chose United over money, all the while doubling his money and moving to a club with less chance of honours than City.

City and the media would made for the phrase, ignorance is bliss. Don't read, don't care.

Which is why I said Sergio definitely has the potential to be the better player. But at this very moment in time, RVP is better than our Sergio. I'm sure we still haven't even seen the best out of Sergio yet, but even then I doubt he would be as good as RVP is right now.

Great player, but nearly 30, £30 million transfer fee, £10million per year wages, and spent a lot of time injured which means he probably wont be doing a "sparky" and still banging them in at 34 yrs old.
Money pit - leave well alone.

RVP can't score from anywhere on the pitch at all, he stays in the same area roughly for a start.

Kun's goal vs QPR, you NEVER see him do that.
If anything Kun can score from anywhere.

We shall agree to disagree :), i do agree that Kun can get even better though yeah.
