Mendy and Bertrand alternating on the left and Walker and Dinho on the right.
Not bad!
£20m?
If Txiki got both him and Walker for £60m I think he will have done well.
Add in Mendy for £40m and I think that isn't too bad for 3 good fullbacks. Expensive but not too bad considering the current market.
Did it for £8m for Delph, didn't work out but cheap deals are possible. An England international for 20m? To City? Lol.

Yeah it would be good business as we are desperate for top class fullbacks mate? It's our most important area now as it seems ederson is all done as well
Hardly think he's a huge upgrade on Clichy to be honest.
I've not really fully understood the logic behind our transfer dealings for a while now so this is par for course.
Think Pep is putting far too much trust in English players. Not that I think Bertrand is terrible, but we're never competing at the top table in Europe if Bertrand and Walker are our full backs. Especially not with the style of football we hope to play. I'd argue neither are suitable although I imagine someone will helpfully point out that Pep knows more about football than me and anyone else on here. So I'll start a really slow happy clap.
Sane, Jesus and Bernardo are brilliant and very young players but you don't understand the transfer logic behind these recent deals. I'll have to stop looking at Bluemoon...it's doing my head in.Hardly think he's a huge upgrade on Clichy to be honest.

No I thoroughly understand those as players.Sane, Jesus and Bernardo are brilliant and very young players but you don't understand the transfer logic behind these recent deals. I'll have to stop looking at Bluemoon...it's doing my head in.

But I didn't understand signing Jesus and Sane whilst ignoring ridiculously obvious areas such as the full back positions. In Isolation both are great. I'd feel exactly the same about Bernardo this summer if we signed him but then ignored the goalkeeping position or the full back positions.
And in general I didn't understand Navas, Delph, Bony, Javi Garcia, Fernando, Mangala or Otamendi. I also didn't understand Bravo as a signing when we didn't bring in the required technically sound defensive players to operate alongside the type of footballing goalkeeper Bravo is.
A solid Premier League player, but it's also not a huge surprise that he's got to the age of 27 without a top club coming in for him.
As opposed to Virgil Van Dijk, who will be 26 in a month?A solid Premier League player, but it's also not a huge surprise that he's got to the age of 27 without a top club coming in for him.
Van Dijk has been in the league for 2 seasons. Before that, he played in Scotland and the Netherlands, so it's a lot more understandable that he could go under the radar. Bertrand has been playing in English football for his entire career, including 8 years failing to break into the Chelsea team. And Bertrand will be 28 by the start of next season too. Like I said, decent Premier League player, but if he was going to become world class, he would have done it by now.As opposed to Virgil Van Dijk, who will be 26 in a month?
You're not alone. No I thoroughly understand those as players.
