never said you couldn't support City but I find it very strange you would pick a side that you have little affilation with and all city fans call the rags for it so I am in a large majority of mancunian blues, also I am not a hypocrit and I don't think it is any differant to support a club from another cIty if you live in Kent or salford just because you are nearer and claim some spurious links dosen't alter the fact you are not from manchester and support a manchester club.

ps this attack on you and your twisted views was brought about because you decided to call me a clown!
next time call me a mancunian clown you plastic tosser!

I am sure you have the backing and the same excuses as all fans who have chosen to support clubs from other cities / countries and you probably think your excuses justify it and make you differant from the glory hunting plastic rags we all slag of so much.
But the facts do not support it you can support who you want but once you choose a club from another city / town / country you leave yourself open to the accusation you are in fact a plastic !

NEWS ALERT - Sheik Mansoor is a plastic! - Take the money away, send back Mancini, Barry, de Jong, Ade, etc. bring [qoute]

another strange argument when have players and owners ever been fans they are in it for money the sheik, whilst I agree is the best thing ever to happen to the club, is at city to promte his country and players change loyalty at the stroke of a pen.

Fans are or should be for life support your local club through thick and thin not just pick one because your local team is crap

or are you saying you are the same as players and would change teams for money ?

I live in Salford/Walkden and you're right, it does my head in all this Salford is red shit, a huge percentage of it is but there's still a few blues, also i have know idea how i turned blue, family and freinds are all red but i guess thats how i now im a true blue!

The Salford folk will kick your head in on these boards for saying that. Trafford is the thing. Stretford. Change it before they find out it ha gone uncorrected.

I've never understood this. The swamp is in the middle of Salford Quays. (Sadly, not literally).

How can it not be in Salford? Or are Salford Quays not in Salford either?
the ship canal is the salford stretford border, its all fuckin swamp who gives a shit?

Also to add, this is the one of the most pathetic arguments ive read on this forum and it's had a few

whp.blue...you're normally a reasonable poster but today you've disappeared up your fucking arse. Never have I read such utter shite in my entire life.

Salford and Manchester are inextricably linked; always have been, always will be. Just look where Salford Central Station is for example, spitting distance of Spinnigfields which is in the heart of Manchester City Centre. Salford's a damn sight closer to Manchester City Centre than Wythenshawe that's for sure.

When I go to "Town" with my mates I go to Manchester, I don't go to Salford fucking Precinct!!! Manchester is Salford's City Centre as far as I'm concerned. This is the same for the majority of Salfordians.

All my family are reds. I chose to support City in 1984 when we were in the 2nd Division and United were in the top division. My Dad took me to Old Trafford a few times first. I hated it. He took me once to Maine Road and I loved it. So did my Dad and he has sat at my side at Maine Road and Eastlands ever since. Are we Gloryhunters? Funny, it really hasn't felt like that over the years.

I apologise profusely for not supporting Salford City but I'm not sure they would have got my juices flowing as an 8 year old, much in the same way I wouldn't have a go at you for not supporting Wythenshawe Town.

These are the most depressing set of posts I've read in a long long time.

TBH trafford / salford makes no difference all the same to me I'm a Mancunian

Exactly fucking right mate - you are totally spot on!! I'm from Trafford, my bird is from Salford, me Mams from Moss Side and we all have the same accent and are all the same sorta people! I think all this United being in Trafford and therefore not Mancunian is pretty fuckin sad and pathetic to be honest, especially considering there are as many City seasoncard holders from Trafford as there are from Manchester and neither has as many as Stockport - which is why they take the piss out of us! so I think people need to get a new jibe, this one has never been funny and is actually gettin boring!!

Agree fully Dan, this jibe is very worn out.

Normally I stand up for anyone to hold any point of view no matter how extreme but will not allow knobheads like lancsblue to call me a clown that is the only reason this thread went this way,
can't stand hypocrits or plastics

my stance is anyone can support any team they like but once any fan chooses a team from another town they give up the right to be indignant when they are called a plastic !
imho of course
