whp.blue...you're normally a reasonable poster but today you've disappeared up your fucking arse. Never have I read such utter shite in my entire life.

Salford and Manchester are inextricably linked; always have been, always will be. Just look where Salford Central Station is for example, spitting distance of Spinnigfields which is in the heart of Manchester City Centre. Salford's a damn sight closer to Manchester City Centre than Wythenshawe that's for sure.

When I go to "Town" with my mates I go to Manchester, I don't go to Salford fucking Precinct!!! Manchester is Salford's City Centre as far as I'm concerned. This is the same for the majority of Salfordians.

All my family are reds. I chose to support City in 1984 when we were in the 2nd Division and United were in the top division. My Dad took me to Old Trafford a few times first. I hated it. He took me once to Maine Road and I loved it. So did my Dad and he has sat at my side at Maine Road and Eastlands ever since. Are we Gloryhunters? Funny, it really hasn't felt like that over the years.

I apologise profusely for not supporting Salford City but I'm not sure they would have got my juices flowing as an 8 year old, much in the same way I wouldn't have a go at you for not supporting Wythenshawe Town.

These are the most depressing set of posts I've read in a long long time.

Normally I stand up for anyone to hold any point of view no matter how extreme but will not allow knobheads like lancsblue to call me a clown that is the only reason this thread went this way,
can't stand hypocrits or plastics

my stance is anyone can support any team they like but once any fan chooses a team from another town they give up the right to be indignant when they are called a plastic !
imho of course

Oh right, I shouldn't cause a fuss if you call me a "plastic" because I'm from Salford. What utter shite. So if there is someone from Didsbury who doesn't go to games but classes himself a Blue he can rightfully call me a "plastic" eventhough I've got a season ticket at City and have done for many years? Unbelievable. You do know we're talking about Salford here and not Stafford don't you?

What about the hundreds, if not thousands, of Blues brought up in Manchester but born in Hope Hospital? Which of your brackets do they fall into?

Wythenshaw was only annexed in to the city of Manchester boundaries in 1931 and so is an extension and not an original part of Manchester.

Is it like cockneys/Bow bells and you have to have been born in the Township of Manchester?

What you need to remember about Wythenshawe is that it was built in the 1920`s and housed a massive amount of people from around central Manchester, something that was needed due to the chronic housing situation, Wythenshawe`s heart is pretty much direct from central Manchester.

I was brought up in Salford but I was born in Trafford General. Are you actively encouraging me to be a United fan? I think you need to leave the cat nip alone and get your priorites straight.
