i still dont understand your point, if people are from salford who should they support ????????
any team from salford

I know this may be a littlle contraversial and a bit of a taboo

what is the difference
I live in singapore / kent / boston (lincs) we do not have a top team of our own so I and have all the man u shirts/ wallpaper/ light switches in club colours and go to as many games as I can. = plastic / glory hunter according to most blues

or
I am from Salford we do not have a top flight team of our own so I have all the man city shirts/ wallpaper / light switches in club colours and go to as many games as I can = plastic / glory hunter according to just me I don't think so but not everone will admit it

not much differance in the two statments however you fancy it up imho
and how many of you who do not come from amchester have ever called the rag fans glory hunters or sang fcuk off back to london ?

what team from salford ????

I myself cannot understand why anybody could choose to support a club from another town / city/ country.

Wythenshawe is a town surely then you should support local club Wythenshaw Town?

Numpty. IMAO

by the way this thread went this way because I did not know the difference between salford and trafford you appear to be equally as bad on Manchester areas

but I will not name call you for it

As I`ve already mentioned, Wythenshawe was built due to the housing shortage in central Manchester and was built to accomodate that, the land was originally owned by Cheshire but was `acquired` and then controlled by Manchester corporation in the mid 1920`s and was included into the Manchester boundary shorlty afterwards( about 1931 I think), so, although initially it was outside of the border it was clearly Manchester Corporations intention from the start that it would be included at the first opportunity.

With this in mind, the majority were born and bred Mancunians and no doubt many will have supported Man City ( which is why as I was growing up their it was a very big majority blue area) like most people, offspring will have followed in their Fathers footsteps with the team they supported, Wythenshawe town FC didn`t even come into existence until 1946, so to use Wythenshawe in this debate as an example isn`t a very good one.

Personally I couldn`t really give a f*ck where you`re from and who you support but I do admit to using the Salford/own City/own football club to beat certain Rags over the head with because let`s face it it`s one of the few things we can throw back at them ( no offence to Salfordians).

You should ask the Sheik why he wants to put his money into a club from another country. FFS wise up ye diddy.

Er. I've confused myself now, whp.blue said that statement or did you? Either way whoever said it is a diddy

This just keeps getting better

sorry S.D. but I can't let this one pass
Stockport has a town hall so how in gods name can it technically be in south manchester ?
and why don't you support your home town club ? or is it because Manchester City are a better team ?
that is most peoples definition of a glory hunter so in answer to your question yes it does
