I think this is probably the case in most sports , kids now adays prefer playing with their fingers and thumbs

Not the case. My sons club has 96 teams from toddlers to open age.
Lazy opinion that kids are all just sat at home.
My son (plus all the other 96 teams, a thousand plus kids) trains monday, thursday, plays saturday. And thats very low level capability. The better kids will play for other teams on a sunday too

Sky coverage poor. They just showed projected score 14.5 v 12.5 which adds up to 27 not 28. On 4 occasions that I’ve seen a hole has been won by one player and been scored in favour of the other player.

Studies from Sport England say that kids are more active than they’ve ever been and it’s increasing all the time. My nephew is 10 and plays sports I never had the opportunity to play as a kid.

The kids who do the least sport are ones from less affluent backgrounds - i.e. the ones who can least afford technology and all the latest video games anyway. It’s a spurious correlation. Sport is all about opportunity.
