Studies from Sport England say that kids are more active than they’ve ever been and it’s increasing all the time. My nephew is 10 and plays sports I never had the opportunity to play as a kid.

The kids who do the least sport are ones from less affluent backgrounds - i.e. the ones who can least afford technology and all the latest video games anyway. It’s a spurious correlation. Sport is all about opportunity.

My sons team is hugely over subscribed and the girls section is through the roof. But it aint cheap! For him and my daughter its £50 a month.
