Sacking Mancini... was there even a choice?

We went in for big players last summer, RVP, Hazard, De Rossi..why didn't they come? It wasn't because of the money..players talk, its gets about what kind of manager Mancini is, that's his style and its not a criticism of him but I think ultimately those players chose not to come because of Mancini and his style..every manager has a shelf life at a club and I think he reached his and the club recognised that..after winning the league the players lost their motivation and drive, it was his job to try and keep that momentum going, he failed, and our owners didn't come to the club to be failures..they wont accept second best and I guess we should be grateful for that
We didn't bid for RVP in the end. Don't think we bid for hazard either. More's the pity. He was the signing of last Summer.
We'd agreed terms with both is my understanding. In RVP's case we couldn't/wouldn't sell Dzeko or Balotelli to fund the deal and with Hazard we wouldn't pay the agent's fees.

There was a choice and we made the wrong choice.I would like to know which idiot at City thought, it would be good idea to sack Mancini the week leading up to the cup final.Who is this guy or girl who spreads these negative stories about are club.We need to get rid of this person or the same things will happen time and time again.

Players spitting there dummy out got Bobby the sack. What a joke. It went under the radar that most of the fans had done one me included for the lap of honer. No honer in this lot I'm sorry. When players have this much power it's wrong.

I heard Noel Gallagher say "if we need to get someone in to pamper the players then so be it, it's there club". Errrr sorry I thought it was our club, another one out of touch.

No manager over 60 has ever lasted more than one year at a big European club fact. Well be luck to get forth next year.

Club sold it's soul. The sooner fan see that we don't matter anymore then and only then can they see whats going on. Just loot at the evening news with the disabled fan.

Someone start FC City.
Hmmmmm

Indeed. 8 posts in 3 years. The odour du rag is almost overpowering.......

Whilst i didn't want Mancini to go when you look at the bigger picture you can see it was an easy decision to make. The public criticism of the board and players, the repeated reports of bust-ups with players and the lack of interest in the academy all contributed to the decision to sack him. What gets forgotten is that last year when we won the title, when QPR scored their 2nd Mancini can be seen stood on the sidelines pointing at players(not just Nasri) screaming " Fuck you, Fuck you Fuck you" as he points at at least 3 separate players. Not a great image.
As i said i was initially against the decision to sack Mancini but now I firmly believe it will prove to be the right decision.

Moaning about Marwood and the lack of transfers is hardly going to inspire the players Mancini had at the time to retain the title. Still he has gone but not forgotten.

Mancini was out the door in early January.

The moment he brought Sheikh Mansour into the equation with regards Balotelli.

Hung himself.

WTF!

Don't tell me that Mancini lied about that to further his case to keep him!

Jesus if that's true haha, that made me chuckle. Fair play to Bob on that, proper piss take that is.

Gotta say on face value I saw it as posturing from our side. If that was a desperate plea to keep his 'son' then it's simply irrational and it's ridiculous to go about business if relationships are that frayed.

Should have stayed.

2 wins in 2 years at the swamp should guarantee him the job for at least another year. The barca boys and their holism thought otherwise unfortunately.

You won't last long.

We'll see about that won't we. Can't deny I'm right, taking down bacon in his home 2 years in a row isn't something many have done before
