safe standing

I wonder exactly what the trial would be trialling? ; if that makes sense!

Trying to keep the gangways clear would be a nightmare. Also stewards would struggle to see much by sitting down and trying to look in.

I think to be honest, that unless they have a clear defined area that doesn't impact on seated fans then it will have limited validity as a trial

How would the back of 109/110 impact other seated fans in the ground. I don think it would effect gangways as everyone would have a designated standing spot

They won't have to sit down I presume the regular blocks will be allowed to stand aswell as the standing section

Something doesn't ring true with this. No disrespect that man.

If it's true 109 has gone from a flash point, the fans v the club, to an official safe standing section, I'd be amazed. I honestly can't see the club sanctioning this.

Also. There have been no announcements from the PL or the club regarding the introduction of safe standing next season. It's true that Villa along with other clubs have offered to trial safe standing, but as I've stated, no official announcements have been made by the PL regarding safe standing.

He said it is common knowledge amongst the stewards, they have been briefed on it.

OK. If that's true it's great news. Still don't see the point in making 111 a buffer block. Fans stand in that block any way, and will do, regardless if it's safe standing or not.

Making 109 a safe standing block is very strange decision, considering the amount of hassle the fans and club have been through over it.

Maybe city have used there common sense and realise most in this block want to stand.

Suppose if anything violent happens in 111 then people will blame it on safe standing better to have standing away from visiting fans like in germany
