safe standing

If true this is a Missed opportunity for operation one end

Could have put the safe standing in the 6 lower tier blocks of the north stand, as most of blocks 109-111 and south stand lower tier want to stand they could have been given the option to relocate and group the 2 most vocal areas of the stadium into one

Just saying like

Maybe they want to put it in the section that actually creates some atmosphere...?

Just saying...

Completely Agree!

If it did get a long term go ahead we really need to have it behind a goal as opposed to the the back portions of a quarter of a lower tier sidestand. It will just ruin the balance of the stadium and leave it lopsided.

Just seen the video and very impressed.

They quote 3000 seats can give 5700 standing fans!

If that theory was used across the bottom 6 blocks of the North Stand, then those 4000 seats alone would around 7500 standers instead!

I'm all for this and can feel my 2nd childhood and memories of the Kippax being reborn.

Maybe people would relocate, can't see city allowing standing in seated areas if there's a safe standing area available.

Maybe if/when they put a full section in they will, but I can't see them even trying to do it during a 2 section "trial".

we really do have a club that cares about its fans. Safe standing sections, tram travel and a fanzone, its kind of like the german fan experience.

the south stand would not be forced to sit down, they can still stand aswell as the standing blocks. We need flags and atmosphere in these standing scetions and we need the right type of fan- unlike against bayern where it was mostly tourists and non singers.

Get the lads in -that bracket of fans mainly 18-24 year olds who want to jump around and go mental. btw anyone should go in it, but I want it to bew just like the kippax.

If they are letting fans at the back of a block stand yet insist those at the front sit, then there must be some form of a surge restraint/barrier being placed directly behind the seats at the front or you would get fans falling over the tops of seated (if they ever sit down) fans with very dangerous consequences.

I can't think of standing fans behind seated fans in the same block anywhere in world football!

That page illustrates how it would work.
Just sent my message to local MP John Leech (match-going blue)
We need not just a standing section, but
one that is is meaningfully placed

I think the increased cost would be because of increased demand for these areas. Lots of people have said if we get safe standing they will relocate myself included. Im not saying its right but clubs charge what they want these days as long as the demand is there
