The player can operate across the back line, right back centre back and left back, he will cost us nowt except wages and if he ain't fussed about playing in CL, good for the premier squad. What is there not to like about this deal?

No way is he getting offered a 4 year deal and doubt it will be 100K per week.
Just the usual journalist bullshit like when Yaya's wage would go up 50K each passing week until he was past 300K...
All our new signings are on less than 100K and those are first team players, a 30(?) year old backup fullback shouldn't be getting 100K on such a long term deal. Journalists seem to just make any old shit up about how much we offer our players yet you never hear what other clubs offer.
It pisses me of because other fans will then see these figures and assume they are right, i've heard how Jovetic cost us 30M and Negredo / Navas were 20m+ each as that was what they were told by the media before it was confirmed we paid much less but by then its too late as the misinformation is out and although we follow the club closely and know these things other fans don't and this misinformation then begins to spread. I know I shouldn't give a damn what others think when I know they are wrong but its just another stick used to beat us with all from fabricated claims which other clubs don't seem subjected to as much.

Not too worried about age these day, provided the players look after themselves the old way of thinking that players are past it beyond their 32nd birthdays is gone, most players should be able to go on till 35.
