Salford City programme!

If you take the raggy owner element out of it that wasn't a bad non-league vs lower league FA Cup tie. Short on skill, bobbly pitch, full timers not up for it and a couple of goals to win it.

And yes FCUM vs that lot would be mega funny as after the evident popularity drummed up by the TV show and now the live match the reason for the mini-me club to exist gets even more obscure.

If the FA did decide to scrap one competition then the FA Cup should be kept.

Salford City - well done to them but not every non-league club is fortunate to have owners like the class of 92.. so it is kind of an unfair advantage really taking nothing away from them at all amazing performance but they have resources even clubs in Notts County league don't have.

I wouldn't say Salford have a bigger budget than Notts County but they seemed more organised than their League Two opponent.

One thing that struck me on the documentary was that there did seem to be a cast of 1000's in the dressing room - quite a few tracksuited chaps as well as the 2 managers and nobody said what they did. Evident again on the touchline tonight - several "coaches" or what ever on SALfords bench (did anybody else bridle at Jenas's pronunciation ? ) whereas the Notts County manager and assistant did look a bit lonesome by comparison.

Maybe the '92 in put has helped with coaches, fitness coaches, physio's, dieticians and the like?
