Salford City

Serious question..
Is Neville parting his cheeks for lim??
What the fuck does lim see in him and how did that relationship start?
King Jon Lim is obviously a far eastern rag fanboy, employing ratty as manager of Valencia was up there with the worst decisions in football isssstreee

It goes further back.
Lim owned a number of Rag Cafe franchises in the Far East. As part of that deal the gpc had to send players over for promotional stuff. He sent this shower of shit who latercwent into business ventures with him.

I'm on a ground-hopping mission to see all grounds where FL/EFL games have been played regularly.
Dear Jim (or Lim), please fix it for Salford to go bust, or at least out of the league) before their proposed move to the AJ Bell Stadium.
I visited Moor Lane when it was a ramshackle dump about 30 years ago, so I've not had to re-visit their current ground.

The AJ Bell has reverted to its original name of Salford Community Stadium now, but you should avoid having to visit it, in the near future at least. Salford City were looking to acquire the 50% share in the venue held by Peel Holdings, and to move there to share with Sale Sharks, leaving Salford RL to find a new home.

However, Salford City Council instead bought out Peel and they now own 100% of the facility. They're committed to keeping the rugby league club there, while Sale have a 25-year lease that currently has about half its term to run. Salford City seem to have accepted that the stadium isn't an option for them any longer, at least for the time being.

Obviously it's possible that things could change at a later date. However, Salford's upwards trajectory seems to have stalled: they're mid-table in their sixth successive season in the fourth tier and, for the fourth successive campaign, are in League Two's bottom four in terms of gates. Do they really need a bigger stadium?

They don't need a bigger stadium, but if they had a stadium that was easier to get to, and more towards the centre of Salford, they might attract more local fans.
Away fans are usually found in the watering holes of Prestwich as there are no pubs near the ground.

Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense.

In that case, let's hope that Salford City Council can make a go of developing the area around the stadium and running the complex, while the clubs from the respective rugby codes prosper enough to keep the football club out.

They need better owners.

Always busy at Barley Farm opposite pre match when rugby matches are played at AJ Bell. Easy to access from the motorway.

Works well for the rugby teams.

Have they changed the parking restrictions so fans can park somewhere near the ground?
