Salford

Wythenshawe/Northenden (the other 20% of Manc) Stockport, Trafford are all Cheshire.

The rags are in trafford cheshire not Salford, not Manchester, not even in our County
Not quite with Trafford.
North of the Mersey is Lancashire (Stretford, Firswood, OT, Urmston and Flixton)
South of the Mersey is Cheshire - Sale, Altrincham, Bowden, Hale and Partington.

Even with Stockport, Reddish and the 4 Heatons are all north of the river and therefore in Lancashire
In Reddish's case, it is north of the River Tame before it joins with the Goyt to become the Mersey

That will be Stretford
Here the 1st clue one end of the ground is called the Stretford End.
The 2nd clue The Ground itself is called Old Trafford.
The 3rd clue is in the postcode M16 0RA these are The Salford post codesView attachment 97324

Salford has enough problems with those twats being falsely associated with it.
2nd clue - their ground isn't actually in Old Trafford.

Like Scousers, nicking the names of anything they fancy and attaching it to themselves

There's a rather nice decorative border marker on one of the footbridges in Reddish Vale.

Reddish etc and the parts of trafford you mention were Lancashire originally and parts of the parish of Manchester

Reddish is stockport by governance now, anything north of the mersey may be called stockport but its Lancashire, proper stockport is cheshire

Mad how both the Manchester football teams came from the east of the City.

I like it around here. Salfordians like to remind people that it's a city in its own right, but really it's just another area of the Manchester conurbation. For me, anywhere with an 'M' postcode is Manchester.
M35 Failsworth was considered Oldham. M24 Middleton Rochdale.
