In Spain! yes. but when he played, and since has played against English teams hes crap.

Think people read to much into these diff leagues espec with his strike rate, maybr hese one of those players who like to be the main man and to be relied on, 32 goals aint just your one season wonder of 15-20

Surely you've got to give the guy a break and say that he's improved since he played in the Prem. He's top scorer in La Liga FFS. Just because he wasn't particularly successful last time doesn't mean he's going to be the same now. Everyone on here would love David Villa to sign for City but, like Forlan, he plays in La Liga and unlike Forlan has never played in Prem. What makes people supremely confident Villa would be so much better in the English league than Forlan?

and he's 30, the sort of money branded about for him is shocking, especialy when Arsenal sold Herny to Barca for £16 million a few seasons ago.

Good point, but look at Alves what was his goal ratio before joining Boro?. Hes a big risk IMO.
