For me the best world cup was Spain '82, closely followed by Italia '90, though Scillaci was undoubtedly the main focal character of all the world cups I have seen or can remember - he truly was iconic. And yes I am including all the modern stars such as Messi and Ronaldo etc... Closer to him for me was Zico and Socrates in '82.... Not withstanding Pele and Brazil in Mexico '70. I really enjoyed International football back then, but now i think it is absolutely shit and a waste of time.
