In what way? What has he ever won, a couple of promotions? What tournament experience has he got? The best England can offer maybe, but nowhere near the best man for the job.

I wouldn't want him as a city manager, he gets the best out of a bad bunch , has done all his career and if England got pep coaching he wouldn't be able to make silk purse etc., i really think the English players are at best average , never rated harry kane and he's our shining light, same as vardy, I could got on and on, there isn't one player for England who would get in the top 3/4 internationals in world football.

I think you seriously overestimate our capabilities. England are now like City, pre-Mansour - get a favourable draw and we might, just might, make the quarter finals in a tournament. Anything more is a pipe dream. On that basis, Sam's your man. He'll get more than the sum of the parts out of our deficient players.
