Samba (Blackburn)

I'd take him in an instant. Him and Kompany could forge a great partnership. Samba's pretty young for a CB, dedicated and will put his body on the line, and is obviously strong in the air..

I'm interested as to why people wouldn't want him?

He was immense against West Ham at the weekend, he will puts his body on the line when it
matters and is brilliant in the air both defensively and attackingly, and IMO he would be a
great signing for us.

Your aerial problems? We have far more problems there, conceded more from set pieces than any other team. 21 of our 39 goals conceded comes from set pieces. Samba is needed at Arsenal

That must make you quite depressed... hoping for Samba?
After having watched our midgets, i have developed obsession for 6'4 defenders. Any big defender who can head the ball away is welcome. Im nervous as hell whenever we concede a corner or a freekick

Checking around, the fee is around 8 million. I would take him at 8 over Cahill at 20 any day. Our aerial problems would be solved.

We are schizophrenic when it comes to aerial defence. We go long stretches without having trouble, then will suddenly develop problems against unlikely clubs.

Though I agree, haven't a clue why Wenger didn't buy Samba. He would be perfect for Arsenal.

Rocky wants to stay there <a class="postlink" href="http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/917738/roque-santa-cruz-eyes-permanent-blackburn-rovers-move?cc=5739" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... ve?cc=5739</a>

Throw in Bridge,SWP or Onouha, could a deal be done?

the guy is good in the air and a beast to attackers what else do u need from a player like him, again he shows himself as a leader on the pitch and gives more option when going forward for me is miles ahead of Lescott.lets say sign him for next season to pair against VK.

I've thought this guy could do a job for us - one of our weaknesses is against set peices and he would certainly help there.

I haven't really watched him properly so don't know how good he is at reading the game and how fast / slow he is

Would certainl;y give us options at the back but I believe that you shouldn't change your central back 2 to much so not sure he fits the bill for week in week out

Really like his attitude, never gives up and would bring some badly needed steel to our defence on corners etc... His game last weekend was a great display...

Give them Crocky and get him in.... !
