Sami's just tweeted denying he made those quotes.
Fair play then if true. Or is it a classic Anelka "mistranslation"?

The strange thing is those quotes appeared literally within hours of us winning the title - yet I don't recall seeing him doing any interviews post match. Possibly a case of soundbites for the French press spun to make a story.

Samir switched for whatever reason he wanted. He left giving nothing but praise to Arsenal, except that he felt they weren't up for winning titles anytime soon. He was under contract and Arsenal let him go to City. By my estimation he could say just about anything terrible about Arsenal and their fans at this point and be justified. They have treated him terribly, so I see nothing wrong with them having some in return. Would it be better if he completely took the high ground? Sure. Is he justified in giving Arsenal some stick (if he actually did)? Sure.

I think he suffers from all the abuse he gets more than people realize. He's only 24 for christ's sake. He's young, naive, and proud, and would be better off just not saying anything, but it's actually sad the abuse he gets. He can't make a twitter status without being berated with insults. People take comments he makes (and sonetines they make them up) as an attack on Arsenal, but in reality he is just tryin to defend himself cause nobody wants to be hated.

Like someone pointed out on here, that hug he and Gael had in the tunnel can was really telling. Lot of emotion let out.

If it wasn't Arsenal and a team/fans/manager I had any respect for I would think Nasri was a little out of order but considering it's them, nice one lad.

They've been beyond bitter about him leaving. Think they've taken it way further than he deserved, he moved to a better team for more money, but he's "$amir Na$ri mercenary twat moved for money alone." Nothing to do with Arsenal being shit at all, was it?

Fabregas and Clichy didn't get that treatment and I bet RvP wouldn't if he left either. It's just because it's Nasri.

Arsenal are like a guy dumped by his girlfriend who has moved on to another relationship. The guy then goes on Twitter, Facebook berating her and calling her morals into question and getting his family to do the same. It's just a bit pathetic really.

Still, proves Nasri was right to try to get out of there.

It's RVP I feel sorry for. Such a good player and what will he have to show for it? He's there thinking "Bloody hell, I'm one of the best forwards in Europe and even Adam Johnson will have a medal to show for it, but not me." Sure he's looking across at Nasri and wishing he was here too.

Not that I've got anything against AJ of course. Just that RVP is obviously a better player.

They gave Nasri a hard time because he admitted the truth and that can sting like a mother fucker when it isn't what you want to hear. Fabregas played them with the indecision he showed and all the torn heart about leaving them. Nasri in one of the first interviews he did at city revealed that the deal had been done with barca for a year and everybody knew it. Clichy was a different story as most arsenal fans i knew didn't rate him that highly and said we had got a wooden one that would cost us a load of points with his defensive fuck ups. I was actually worried especially after the fuck up in the community shield for their winner but turns out he is quite good and pretty solid at the back. This year more than any has shown Wenger to be the problem with arsenals defense been a shambles at times with players still saying they do very little work on it in training. Take Mancini as another example on that point he came here when we were still shipping goals for fun Burnley put 3 past us ffs and this was after Hughes had spent £40 mil on a cb pairing. First thing that was improved was the defence and gave us a decent platform that year. Since then only a new left back has came and Mancini saw the sense in putting Kompany who was already at the club in cb and hey presto the best defense in the league 2 years on the bounce. Some really bitter fans in there, only this season they were looking Wenger to follow Nasri out the door as well, more i think of them the more i want rvp to fuck them over stay for another year and walk for free. They all leave for medals and i'm sick of hearing arsenal fans bleat on about how nobody ever gets success after they leave and Wenger knows when to sell bollocks, what about paddy v he done quite well same with henry flamini hleb nasri fuck me even sol campbell ended up with another medal and im sure i've missed more
