Samir Nasri

Some of the people here still believing Nasri is class and only reason he doesn't come good is because he's not played at Silva's position, while there isn't a single match of his which is good at that position since he is in the Premier, wether it is with his club or NT.

nasri is a class act. only shown it in a couple of games as yet. be a very important member of the squad over the next few months!

Not bumping this for the usual smug reasons (especially as I have and still doubt his impact for the price + everything else), just because it's somewhere to add an opinion on a specific player who I thought deserves a mention after his performance today. Looked for the ball far more, got out of some tight spaces to make some chances, obviously scored a screamer of a goal. Well in lad, please do this every game from now on, tar :)

He was excellent today today and stepped up - well done well chuffed for the lad give him more time

problem with Nasri is he isnt a wideman or a side midfielder. he's only effective in the middle. trouble is Silva is much better in Nasri's natural position.

he looked more dangerous when he changed position in the first half and played centrally for a time, his goal was sublime, but all down to the pass .... from Silva.

Today was one of his best games since signing for us, I hope that today was a turning point for him. I dunno if it was because we were playing Spuds, but just like against Arsenal, he properly seemed up for it today.

This is exactly why in games such as Wigan, we should be able to rest Silva and drop Nasri in his place to have more or less (relative to the opposition at least) the same outcome. Unfortunately that's not really how it's panned out. I'm not really sure what the solution is to the Nasri problem, but as long as he starts playing against everyone else like he does against Spurs I'm sure it will sort itself out.
