Well spotted Cookie.

BTW...

Nasri is better than Silva
hahaha u should just stop watching football. It's not for u. Nasri offers nothing in our team. The only reason he has 92 percent accuracy in his passing is because he always passes to the man behind him. He never risks and try to breakdown the opposition defence like silva does ( hence the lower passing accuracy). Anyway i do thing samir is a good player but he is not a WINGER. He is so much better centrally. Mancini continues to annoy me with that. Can't he just see that especially in premier league where teams are more physical from other leagues teams rely very much on wingers who are fast good dribblers and good crossers of the ball ( like the rags, they are a worse team than us but this kind of play they play is more unpredictable and that's why they score more this season). We need a winger to open the play. We play too narrow and most games we are easy to defend. That's the job of a real winger, to open up the play and create more space for players like silva to play. Nasri doen't do that he wants to do the same as silva that's why they'll never play good together. A player like bale would thrive in our team (but he is too expensive). Bar that none of our strikers are world class except sergio now. So for me a winger and secondly a striker are needed right now in our team badly.[/quote]

It's all about opinions.

IMO:

Bale is overrated

Edin Dzeko is a world class striker (as is Sergio)

Possession is the name of the game.

Nasri keeps the ball better than anyone at City.

Nasri is better than Silva

You don't agree, but that doesn't make you right.

Re: Nasri

he is overrated

only plays well when the team is playing well. its a bit like how i find sanchez at barca. can't run a team when messi is having an off night,

-- Fri Feb 01, 2013 10:41 pm --

Nasri is a disappointment and a mistake of a signing in my opinion.
why didnt you guys sign Mata instead?

Mata and Silva would have been amazing!

Tevez, Dzeko and Aguero have produced goals and match winning performances on many occasions. Nasri is a fraction of the player he was at arsenal and nothing like the player that destroyed England when France won 2 nil. The disappointment is that I know he has the ability but he fails to produce it. It's unfair to compare to Sinclair as he cost 6million and Nasri cost 25 million no ones trying to hound any1 out of the club but we are entitled to ask for better levels of performance than we are getting now.

Imo Nasri only had one half a decent season wit arse. 25m was the biggest rip off, considering Mata went for less to chelski.

He has a talent, but no bottle

Re: Nasri

I thought when we signed Nasri in 2011 we had signed a special player. The lads shown flashes but not enough in my book.Needs to have a look at Silva and see what a good player does every match. Not the odd match Nasri.

Re: Nasri

Another player I think people overcriticise. Ball retention is second to none, crossing ability is one of the best in the squad. I think Silva edges Nasri because he tries the 40/60 through balls that unlock defenses. In my opinion Nasri is pretty central to what we do and one of the few players I would start with most games.

Re: Nasri

Also can't understand why Mancini plays him wide. He doesn't have a lot of pace I'd play him higher up more centrally behind the strikers. Have been really underwhelmed whilst he's been here in all honesty, not the same player that was at Arsenal. One thing is very talented at though which another poster brought up is that he can cross a ball in the right areas very well and consistently. Him, Milner and Kolarov need to take turns of taking corners as I'm sorry, as much as I love Silva, his crossing is woeful at times and the amount of wasted set-pieces is really frustrating.

Re: Nasri

For me Nasri just doesn't unlock defenses in the way I believed he would when we signed him, while a good player he's not what we need and I haven't seen him have enough good games for my liking. When he plays well he's incredible it's just thats happened only a few times since being here, more often than not he contributes nothing to our team. This is my perception anyhow, I wish he would just be a bit more adventurous as I'm sure he has the ability to.

Re: Nasri

When Nasri played for us at White Hart Lane last season he was brilliant. He was used in a role he was comfortable with, as was Dzeko. Since then I can't think of a single game we've played where the tactics were based on counter attacking like that.

Its as if the coaching staff said, "Well that worked, lets never do that again".
